MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program

Description

The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program is a fully funded scholarship designed for talented young Africans from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. It covers tuition fees, accommodation, airfare, a living stipend, and mentorship throughout the academic journey. The program is delivered through partnerships with more than 60 universities and NGOs worldwide, including the University of Toronto, McGill University, the University of Edinburgh, and the African Leadership University. There is no single centralized application process: each partner institution manages its own timeline and selection procedure. Applicants must therefore identify the partner university of their choice and apply directly to that institution for both admission and the scholarship, following its specific requirements and deadlines.
